Disappearing Rhino

Description

This is a striking original painting in blue and red acrylic paint and inks called “Disappearing Rhino” made from my sketches in a UK conservation park of these handsome and ancient African animals.

This black rhino is painted blue, matching the sadness in his eye despite his smile – perhaps he is considering the uncertain future ahead for his species. An abstract blue and red background shows through the rhino and makes it look as though he is disappearing, or perhaps appearing…..
