The Artist Support Pledge is a growing international movement of artists supporting other artists. In these difficult times during COVID-19 art galleries are closed and art shows and workshops have been postponed or cancelled. Many artists are finding themselves without work, and art buyers have less access to original artworks.
The premise is quite simple but it’s proving an effective way of enabling people to buy unique artworks for their home. It also increases support for independent artists and makers:
- Art for sale that’s affordably priced at up to £200/$200 is posted on Instagram by the artist who created it, using the hashtag #artistsupportpledge.
- Prospective buyers can directly approach the artist to ask any questions. They can also arrange payment and delivery of their chosen original artwork.
- Each artist who reaches art sales of £1000/$1000 pledges to spend £200/$200 with other artists.
All original animal paintings by Caroline Skinner Art on this website which are priced at £200 and under are included in the Artist Support Pledge. This applies during the UK lockdown that started in March 2020. When you buy original animal artwork from my online shop during this time, you are also helping me to support other artists.
