How to Commission Your Pet Portrait
Things for you to consider when choosing an artist to paint a custom pet portrait of your favourite pet(s):
- Do you like their painting style? Have a look at some of their work.
- How many pets can be included?
- What size and colours would you like?
- Do you want a framed pet portrait, or a box canvas?
- Can you provide good quality photos?
- Will you be given progress reports?
- Can you collect your painting or will it be delivered?
- When would you like your painting?
- How much will it cost?
Thank you to everyone who entered the free pet portrait prize draw which closed on 31st December 2017. I have now painted the winner’s lovely pet, Maggie – here is a photo of Maggie with her owner Jessica and the finished painting.
Jessica said “Thank you so much for sending our amazing painting. We love it!!“
I recently painted a beautiful Entlebucher Mountain Dog that was a surprise for her owners: ” The painting is wonderful and they were really pleased with it.” Bernard H
Here are more examples of some recent pet portraits I’ve painted – note that as I also paint wildlife and farm animals, I can paint more unusual pets as well as your gorgeous cats and dogs!
“Thank you so much for a great original piece of art.
So pleased and really appreciate the time you have given.” Jane G

I want you to be happy with your pet portrait, so if you need some help we can discuss size, timescales, colours etc and you can email me some photos of your pet for advice before you pay for your portrait. Please note that as pet portraits are customised for you, they are non-refundable, which reflects the amount of work that goes into them. If you would like to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, and the balance on completion, I am happy to arrange this with you.
I will email you progress reports with photos so that you can watch the work in progress and make any comments. On completion of the painting, you will be asked to approve it and pay any balance due (in instalments if this helps) before the painting is sent/collected.
